EVSC 401: CURRENT TOPICS IN ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE

Dave Trotter, Ministry of Forests Employee, talking to EVSC 401 students.
Prerequisite: Declared major in Environmental Science and completion of third-year course requirements for the program.

Brief Description: This informal, one-credit course will bring students together with guest speakers who work in environmental science and related fields. Speakers will be selected, where possible, so as to include people working in a broad range of environmental science activities and settings. Every effort will also be made to include speakers ranging from recent university graduates with up-to-date job-hunting experiences to relate, to retired veterans with years of accumulated wisdom to pass on. The course meets one evening per week.

Evaluation: Students will be evaluated on a pass/fail scale on the basis of attendance and participation. At least 80% attendance is required for a passing grade.
