Two postdoctoral fellowships
Two postdoctoral fellowships are available at Simon Fraser University, Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science and School of Computing Science. Faculty mentor will be Professor Jiguo Cao (http://people.stat.sfu.ca/~cao/) and Professor Jian Pei (https://www.cs.sfu.ca/~jpei/).
The successful applicant will have a Ph.D. in Statistics, Computing Science, or a related field. He/she will have strong skills in statistics, computing and mathematics, and a demonstrated record of research. The postdoctoral fellow will be primarily involved in the development of the statistical methodology in functional data analysis and machine learning, but the specific areas of methodological research can be flexible, depending on the fellow's interests and skills.
The salary is based on applicants' qualification and will be very competitive.
The term of the fellowship is up to two years, subject to the continuing availability of funds. It can start as soon as a suitable candidate has been found, and the opportunity will remain open until then.
